BACOLOD CITY–Governor Eugenio Lacson granted Wednesday the request of Philippine Airlines for a special flight for fully vaccinated individuals from October 18 to November 29, 2021.
The governor informed PAL Manager Rene Aviles that their request dated October 12, 2021, was approved.
Aviles sought the permission of Lacson to allow fully vaccinated individuals to travel from Manila to Bacolod. All passengers will be given a special discounted rate of P3,750 all-in-fare without the need for an RT–PCR test.
The flight will depart Manila at 8:00 am and arrive at the Bacolod-Silay International Airport at 9:20 am every Monday and Friday only starting October 18, 2021, until November 29, 2021.
Provincial Consultant Albee Benitez said the PAL special flights will also cater to residents of Bacolod, considering that the city government will also no longer require RT-PCR testing for residents who are completely inoculated.
Tickets for the flight will be sold from October 14 and will be available from selected travel agents and PAL direct ticket offices only, not through their website.
Aviles said the purpose of the special flight is to help promote the vaccination program of the government. (Eugene Y. Adiong/iNews-Bacolod/Negros Bureau)
