ILOILO CITY–As the Philippine National Police (PNP) doubles up on its effort to win the hearts of the people by protecting them against criminal elements amid the ongoing coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic happening in the world, the Iloilo City Police (ICPO) was recently cited for having the Best Community Relations among all city police offices in the country.
This was confirmed by P/Capt. Shella Mae Sangrines, concurrent chief of the Iloilo City Police Station 1 and spokesperson of the city police command.
According to P/Capt. Sangrines, the ICPO topped nine other outstanding city police offices in the country.
The other nominees for the Best Community Relations citation were the Santiago City Police Office, Angeles CPO, Puerto Princesa CPO, Naga CPO, Tacloban CPO, Zamboanga CPO, Iligan CPO, Cotabato CPO, and Baguio CPO.
No less than ICPO director P/Col. Uldarico Garbanzos will travel to Metro Manila to receive the award in Camp Crame anytime soon. (N. Glenn Aragon/iNEWS)
