P1.02B NegOcc supplemental budget gets PDC OK

BACOLOD CITY–The Provincial Development Council (PDC) on Friday approved the P1,020,542,000 supplemental budget for the 2021 annual investment program of Negros Occidental.

The budget includes a P10 million-apportion for the proposed COVID-19 molecular laboratory at the Lorenzo D. Zayco District Hospital in Kabankalan City and P32. 2 million for the purchase of COVID-19 vaccines.

Getting the biggest allocations are the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist with P549.8 million; Provincial Engineers Office, P214. 7 million; Hospital Operations Division (HOD), P182.7 million, and Special Programs and Concerns Division (SPCD) with P115.5 million.

The HOD’s share will finance the improvements on various district hospitals while that of the SPCD will fund the enhancements to Panaad Park and Stadium in Bacolod City.

Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson presided over the PDC meeting at the Capitol Social Hall.
